The Signature element defines the default namespace for itself and its children, which may cause problems in certain situation. A patch was submitted to the xmlsec maintainer that will be in the release following 1.2.10, and this library will be updated at that time. In the meantime an easy workaround is to specify a namespace for any XML elements that are enclosed in the Object element of enveloping signatures.
